My name is Andrii Gerashchenko, and I am a hairstylist with 18 years of international professional experience. I have been a licensed cosmetologist in the State of California for the past four years. My career path has taken me from an apprentice to a creative director. Throughout my journey in the hairdressing industry, I have repeatedly held creative director positions, where I was responsible for fully managing the artistic processes of a beauty salon or a hair department.

I also serve as an established educator. I have presented live haircut demonstrations on stage in front of large audiences at various art-related shows, exhibitions, and industry events. I have extensive experience working in international teams, and over the years I have gained deep expertise in serving a diverse, multicultural clientele. Among my accomplishments, I also include my teaching background: I have taught in several hairdressing schools, and today I continue teaching at Bokaos Aveda and Luxbae salons in Los Angeles.

I have developed my own recognizable approach to haircuts, always prioritizing precise adaptation of a haircut’s shape to each individual — a quality that my clients greatly appreciate. I am also the author of a proprietary haircutting methodology called “Authentic Shape,” focused on personalized shape adaptation. My original haircutting methodology, “Authentic Shape,” has been formally systematized and published as a comprehensive methodological guide in both print and digital formats. This publication presents a structured body of knowledge designed to support both emerging and experienced hairstylists, providing advanced frameworks for the adaptation of haircut shapes, individualized design, and the development of technical and artistic expertise within the field.

In addition to this work, I have authored eight scholarly articles on various topics within the field of hairdressing and applied aesthetics. These publications have been officially released and serve as educational and professional resources for practitioners, contributing to the advancement of industry knowledge, methodology, and standards.

I always dive deeply into the creative process, and my perfectionism has not gone unnoticed — it is precisely this approach to hairdressing that has made me visible to many well-known public figures. Since obtaining my California cosmetology license, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of prominent individuals, including actors, dancers, producers, TV hosts, high-profile entrepreneurs, and respected hairstylists and colorists. I have always aimed to work with people who value and understand artistry, and I consistently set a high standard for myself. Throughout my 18-year creative journey, one of my main goals has always been to explore the art of haircutting in depth and to understand how to harmoniously integrate the shape of a haircut with the unique characteristics of each individual.
